1 Prefilled Pen 2.4mg /0.75 ml Semaglutide Solution for Injection
2 Single-dose Prefilled Pens of 2.4mg/0.75ml
Noveltreat 2.4 mg Prefilled Pen Solution For Injection 0.75 ml is used for chronic weight management in adults. It is prescribed alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity to help achieve and maintain weight loss in patients with obesity or those who have weight-related health conditions.
Noveltreat contains Semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist that mimics a natural hormone responsible for regulating appetite and digestion.
It helps reduce calorie intake by slowing gastric emptying, increasing feelings of fullness, and decreasing hunger and food cravings, thereby supporting weight loss.
Promotes long-term weight management when combined with a reduced-calorie diet and physical activity, helping patients achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.
Improves metabolic health by aiding in better blood sugar control, lowering cholesterol levels, and reducing blood pressure in patients with obesity or overweight.
Reduces cardiovascular risk by lowering the chance of major heart-related events (such as heart attack or stroke) in adults with established heart disease who are overweight or obese.
Storage:
Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight
Overdose:
An overdose may lead to severe nausea, vomiting, or low blood sugar levels. In case of overdose, patients must be closely monitored for symptoms, and appropriate supportive treatment should be given.
Drug Warnings:
Noveltreat if you or a close family member has ever had a type of thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), if you have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), or if you have ever experienced a severe allergic reaction to Semaglutide or any of its ingredients.
If you have or have ever had pancreatitis (inflamed pancreas), gallbladder problems or gallstones, kidney disease, severe digestive issues like gastroparesis (slow stomach emptying), diabetic eye disease (retinopathy), or any mental health concerns such as depression or suicidal thoughts.
For instance, using Noveltreat with insulin or sulfonylureas can increase the risk of low blood sugar, so your doctor may need to adjust other treatments.
Do not use Noveltreat if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Stop the medicine at least 2 months before trying to conceive due to its long-lasting effect in the body. If you find out you are pregnant while using Noveltreat, stop it immediately.
Noveltreat is not recommended for children under 12 years old, because its safety has not been fully established.
Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any severe or persistent side effects, such as ongoing stomach pain (which may signal pancreatitis), signs of an allergic reaction (swelling, rash, difficulty breathing), severe vomiting or diarrhoea leading to dehydration, or mood changes such as depression or suicidal thoughts.
Diet & Lifestyle Advise:
Follow a calorie-controlled, balanced diet as advised by your dietitian. This is essential for weight loss and to maximise the effect of Noveltreat.
Choose high-fibre, nutrient-dense foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and lean proteins. These help you feel full longer and support blood sugar control.
Avoid high-sugar and high-fat foods, which can slow weight loss and affect blood sugar levels. Limit processed snacks, fried foods, and sugary drinks.
Eat smaller, frequent meals and chew slowly to reduce nausea and discomfort, as Noveltreat slows stomach emptying.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. This helps prevent dehydration, especially if you experience vomiting or diarrhoea, which are possible side effects.
Limit or avoid alcohol, as it can increase the risk of low blood sugar (if you have diabetes or take insulin/sulfonylureas) and may worsen gastrointestinal side effects.
Be physically active for at least 150 minutes a week (e.g., brisk walking, cycling, swimming), as regular exercise enhances weight loss and improves blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar.
Monitor your blood sugar regularly if you have type 2 diabetes or are taking other diabetes medications, as weight loss and Noveltreat may change your insulin needs.
Adopt long-term healthy habits, to help keep the weight off after stopping Noveltreat, continue following a healthy diet and regular physical activity.
